Srinivas Vasudev 6 hours ago "మీరెప్పుడైనా మీ మనసుకి నచ్చినట్టుగా బతికారా?" ---------------------------------------------------- ఈ వారం మన విశిష్ట అతిథి దీప్తి నావల్-- Deepti Naval "మీరెప్పుడైనా మీ మనసుకి నచ్చినట్టుగా బతికారా?" ఔను మన జీవితంలో ఎంతవరకూ మనం మనకి నచ్చినట్టుగా ఓ పక్షిలాగనో ఓ చేపలాగనో బతగ్గలిగాం? మనకి నచ్చిన పనిని నచ్చిన టైమ్ లో చెయ్యగలిగాం? కానీ దీప్తినావల్ చెయ్యగలిగింది, చేసింది, చేస్తున్నది కూడా. Deepti Naval-actress, poetess, writer, director, photographer, painter and above all an artist to the core. ఓ మామూలు అమ్మాయి కొండలంచునో, లోయలగాధంలోనో దేన్నో వెతుకుతోనో లేదంటే ఏదో కోల్పోయినదాన్ని పట్టుకుంటున్నటోనో అనిపిస్తె ఆమె మరెవ్వరో కాదు--ఆమె మన దీప్తి నావల్. హు...దీప్తినావల్! తన జీవితంలో తానెలా ఉండాలనుకుందో అలానే బతికింది, అలానే ఉంది కూడా ఇప్పటికీ! ఎప్పుడూ చేతిలో ఓ కెమెరా, భుజానికో సంచీ అందులో ఓ పుస్తకం, పెన్నూ! వీటితో ఏ కొండల్లోనో లోయల్లోనో తిరుగుతూ తనకి నచ్చిన దృశ్యాన్ని కెమెరాలో బంధించటమో, ఇంకా నచ్చితే ఓ కవిత రాసుకోవటమో ఈమె దినచర్య. వీటికోసం దేన్ని త్యాగం చెయ్యమన్నా సిధ్ధమె. 1957, ఫిబ్రవరి 3 న ఓ పంజాబీలో కుటుంబంలో జన్మించిన దీప్తి తన గురించి తానిలా అంటుందీ---సీరియస్ గానే: ‘There is a mountain person in me: I feel I am less of a Punjabi and more of a Pahadi,’ says Deepti, who is part Dogri on her mother’s side. ఎనభైల్లో రిలీజయిన చాలా సిన్మాల్లో 'పక్కింటమ్మాయి' తరహాలో అందంగా ముద్దుగా చలాకీగా ఉంటూనే సీరియస్ నటనని ప్రదర్శించే దీప్తినావల్ ని మనం మర్చిపోలేం. 1978 లోనే శామ్ బెనెగళ్ సిన్మా "జునూన్" ద్వారా తెరకి పరిచయమైన దీప్తి తరువాత "చష్మే బద్దూర్", "కథ", "సాత్ సాత్", "మిర్చి మసాలా", "అంగూర్", "రంగ్ బిరంగీ" లాంటి ఆణిముత్యాల్లాంటి చిత్రాలలో నటించింది. ఆమె గురించి ఆమెని దగ్గరగా చదివిన వారేమంటారో చూద్దాం : Deepti has always followed her heart, often at the cost of fame and moneys: she is poet, painter, photographer, traveler and mother…A many-layered personality of mercurial moods, Deepti follows her heart wherever it leads her, even if that be beyond fame and riches. దానికి ఆమె ఇలా అంటుంది "And I live for the moment: ‘Tomorrow I will be elsewhere – I will live those moments fully. But the now and here is what matters.’ నిజం కదా? కానీ మనసు చెప్పే మాటల్ని వింటూ మనసు చెప్పే మార్గంలో ప్రయాణించటం మనలో ఎంతమంది చెయ్య గలుగుతున్నాం? షబ్నా ఆజ్మీ, స్మితా పాటిల్ లాంటి మేటి నటీమణుల సరసన నిలబడగలిగే సత్తా ఉన్న నటి అని పొగిడినా ఆమెకి రావల్సిన బిరుదులూ పొందాల్సిన సత్కారాలూ ఏమీ రాలేదు. మనస్థాపంతో ఆమె కొన్నాళ్ళపాటు విరామం తీసుకుని తనకి నచ్చిన హాబీస్ వెంట పరుగెత్తి మళ్ళీ సెకండ్ ఇన్నింగ్స్ ప్రారంభించి మంచి సిన్మాలె చేసింది. సరదా సిన్మా "హిప్ హిప్ హుర్రే' సెట్స్ లో ఆ చిత్ర దర్శకుడూ ప్రకాష్ ఝా తో ప్రేమలోపడి అతన్నే పెళ్లాడి ఇద్దరూ కల్సి ఓ పాపని దత్తత తీసుకున్నారు. సిన్మా సరదాకీ 'ఝీ'విత సరదాకి ఎంత తేడా! కానీ ఆమెకి మాత్రం రెండూ ఒకటే! కొన్నాళ్ల పాటు ఆమె ఝాతో సంసారం 'సాగించి' నచ్చని మరుక్షణమే ఆమె అతన్నుంచి దూరం జరిగింది--విడాకుల్లాంటి హడావుళ్ళేమీ లేకుండానె. అప్పుడే మరో సెలబ్రీటీ వినోద్ పండిట్ తో పీకల్లోతు ప్రేమలో పడిన దీప్తి అతను కాన్సర్ వ్యాధితో మరణించే వరకూ అతనితో సహజీవనం సాగించింది. కానీ ఆమె నిజంగానే వినోద్ ని ప్రేమించింది. ఎంతవరకు అంటే అతనితోనే ఉంటూ అతనికి సపర్యలు చేస్తూ తన సిన్మా చాన్సులు కూడా వద్దనుకుంది. ఆ సమయంలోనే వినోద్ ఆమెకి ఫోటోగ్రప్ఫీలో మెలకువలు నేర్పుతూ ఆమెని మళ్ళీ నటనవైపు మరల్చాడు. జీవితం సార్/మేడం....ఇది జీవితం! ఎన్ని బయోగ్రఫీలు చదివినా ఇంకా చదవాల్సిందీ, వినాల్సిందీ ఎప్పుడూ ఉంటూనే ఉంటుంది. వినోద్ మరణం ఆమెని తీవ్ర మనస్థాపానికి గురి చేసింది......బహుశా జీవితంలో మొదటిసారి దీప్తి జీవితాన్ని అనుభూతించటమంటే ఏంటో చవిచూసింది. కొన్ని నెలలపాటు ఇద్దరూ ఓ కార్లో తమకి నచ్చిన ప్రదేశాలు తిరుగుతూ నచ్చినవన్నీ చేసుకుంటూ గడిపారు. మనలొ ఇలా చెయ్యగలిగిన వారెంతమంది? అన్నీ ఉన్నాకానీ! అదీ కొంత వరకూ ఆమె జీవితం. తన భర్త (ప్రకాష్ ఝా) ఆమె మాటల్లో -- "I enjoy a much more valuable equation with him now. ‘When you eliminate role-playing, remove the quotation marks from both ends of a relationship, you are able to really appreciate the person for who he is.’ Wow very well said కదా? ఔను ఓ వ్యక్తితో మనకున్న సంబంధాన్ని ఏ కొలమానాలు లేకుండా చూడండీ అతనెంత / ఆమెంత గొప్ప గా కన్పడతారో. హ్మ్! ఆమె ఇప్పటివరకూ ప్రచురించినవి రెండంటే రెండే సంపుటాలు కవిత్వంలో "‘Lamha Lamha’ in Hindi and “ Black Wind” in English, which was released in 2004 by Oxford Bookstore." ఆమె కవితల గురించి ఇది చదవండి- Deepti is a seeker of beauty: an explorer of wilderness. Her poems spring from anguish both within and without. And the visual intoxication of nature. And the burnished loveliness of living. There is a innocence in her writings – 'I stop the car and watch in disbelief- with what élan, the peacocks cross the street…' “Black Wind” contains a collection called ‘The Silent Scream’: poems of pain at observing women at a mental institution. ఆమె రాసిన సంపుటిలోని ఓ కవితని మీకిక్కడ ఇస్తున్నాను. చూడండి THE STENCH OF SANITY There is something rotten - inside of You, in your flesh, the stench of Sanity. There’s no getting away for you You will die of it, this thing That breathes… Inside of you, in your flesh The stench of sanity ఇది కేవలం ఆమె కవిత్వపు అలల్లోంచి ఎన్నుకున్న ఓ అల. ఇక మీరే ఆమె కవిత్వ మొత్తాన్ని కనుక్కుని ఆస్వాదించండి--తర్వాత తీరిగ్గా! ఇక చివరిగా ఆమె కవిత్వం గురించి మరో మాట: ఆమె తనలోకి తనే జారి మనకో మాట చెప్పిన సంఘటన Delving within--- ‘I simply cannot be bound to a place. In Mumbai, my closest “out” is the Erengal Church on Madh Island. There were years when the church was not even functional. I would park quietly, go in and sit by the wall, spend time listening to the sea, watch the rain pouring down… Basically, I ma a loner – I love being with myself.’ Coming up is a collection of poetry from wanderings in Ladakh.
