Dr.Linga Reddy Kasula||THE DISTANT DREAM|| 17-03-2014 1 When death tides inundate the land of life Is this not the time One has to investigate for the roots of birth? When the ray of light gets splintered before reaching its destiny Is this not the time One has to find its source of origin? Into the end points of the roots of world tree Is this not the time One has to stretch his hands of rationale knowledge? When the soft touch of moisture wets the fingertips Is this not the time To abandon our sticky, dark masks of negligence? After grinding and polishing our souls in the fire of science Is this not the time To proceed further on the ladder of truth? When the epidemic python spreads its coils And the darkness of neglect drowns the villages Where vile diseases playing havoc Transforming villages into dog infested thrashing floors Even then if we fail to express our inner feelings Is this not going to be a historical mistake? When time is ripe And when you know the real answer You have to reveal the truth The truth, that lies in between lines; ONE HAS TO ANOUNCE IT LOUDLY. Even though the voice box is forcibly shut ONE HAS COMEOUT OF THE SHELL Braking open the doors of the dark cells ONE HAS TO ANOUNCE IT LOUDLY. Otherwise history will never forgive you. How many milestones have we crossed, under the guidance of the eye of time? How much splendor of truth have we gathered By putting arrows of questions? Socrates, Bruno, Darwin, Mendel, Marx and many others How many sacrifices, abdications and renunciations? When the knowledge arrow of the past Hit my sleeping brain, When the rays of morning light Reflected on my iris screen, I no more entertain the quagmire arguments Of atheists and centrists; Neither I visualize the God’s solo performance Nor I believe in incarnations; No more torture chambers of mind for me Or the journey through void from void to void;
