మరువం ఉష || Sometimes - Sheenagh Pugh ------------------------------------------------------ Sometimes things don’t go, after all, from bad to worse. Some years, muscadel faces down frost; green thrives; the crops don’t fail. Sometimes a man aims high, and all goes well. A people sometimes will step back from war, elect an honest man, decide they care enough, that they can’t leave some stranger poor. Some men become what they were born for. Sometimes our best intentions do not go amiss; sometimes we do as we meant to. The sun will sometimes melt a field of sorrow that seemed hard frozen; may it happen for you. శ్రీశ్రీ రచించిన ఒక గీతం "అనుకున్నామని జరగవు అన్నీ.. అనుకోలేదని ఆగవు కొన్ని..జరిగేవన్నీ మంచికని అనుకోవడమే మనిషి పని..." అంటూ సాగుతుంది. 2003 లో తొలిసారి ఈ కవిత చదివితే అదే భావన కలిగింది. ఈ కవితకి మరొక కొసమెరుపు కలపాలి: క్లుప్తంగా 'sometimes we fall short and fail, other times we will find deep inside the courage that hids' అనే సందేశాన్ని పంచే ఈ కవిత తొలిసారిగా (కవి మాటల్లో) "It was originally written about a sportsman who had a drug problem and it expressed the hope that he might eventually get over it - because things do go right sometimes, but not very often... " ఉనికిని సంతరించుకుంది. కానీ, క్రమేణా దీనికి political గా కొంత ప్రాముఖ్యత రావటం, పైగా ఎందరో clinically depressed people దీన్నుంచి ప్రేరణ పొందారనటం ఆమెని బాధించిందని తన మాటల్లోనే తెలుస్తుంది (క్రిందన కలిపిన వ్యాఖ్యలో మరి కొంత). నాకు వెంటనే గుర్తుకు వచ్చే మరొక కవితా పాదం I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. - In Memoriam A.H.H., Alfred, Lord Tennyson The last two lines are usually taken as offering a meditation on the dissolution of a romantic relationship.
